ABOUT NICOLAI
Hi, I’m Nicolai—and I’m glad you’re here.
I believe many people reach out for therapy when the strategies they’ve relied on for years stop working. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in unhealthy patterns, struggling in relationships, battling anxiety, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, therapy can provide a space to slow down, gain clarity, and move forward differently. My approach is collaborative, grounded, and practical. I aim to create a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being honest without fear of judgment. Together, we explore patterns, emotions, behaviours, and experiences while building practical tools that support growth, resilience, and long-term change.
My background includes roles in community mental health and social work, supporting children, youth, and families through a variety of emotional, behavioural, and life-related challenges. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and meet people where they are in their journey.
I have a particular interest in supporting men’s mental health, young adults, self-esteem, emotional regulation, identity development, motivation, and the navigation of major life transitions. I understand that opening up can feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar for many people, and I strive to make therapy feel approachable, genuine, and productive.
Outside of counselling, I’m passionate about fitness, psychology, and personal growth.
As a certified personal trainer, I value the strong connection between physical and mental well-being and understand how factors such as stress, confidence, discipline, routine, and lifestyle can impact overall mental health. I believe meaningful change happens when insight is paired with action, and I aim to help clients build both greater self-awareness and practical strategies they can apply in everyday life.
If you’re looking for a therapist who is supportive, direct, and focused on helping you create meaningful change, I would be honoured to work alongside you.
